Summer 1995: Our parents called us "Shikras” when scolding us for rebelliously gallivanting all over town and not doing homework. Shikra is a beautiful bird, indigenous to South Asia, renowned for its hunting abilities. A testament to my nineties teenage years of mischief and play while watching re-run episodes of the Fresh Prince.
