We don’t have much in the way of warehouse space here at Neighborhood Goods, so it’s always something of a relief to work with a brand that hasn’t got loads in the way of inventory.
That’s right: The Inside specializes in bespoke furniture. You choose a pattern and a model, approve a 3D render — they’ve pioneered a 3D rendering technique that means they have what they call a near-constant photo shoot — and it arrives in just six to nine days. This process, which utilizes digital printing, allows the brand to team up with industry-leading designers to create consumer furniture for a fraction of the usual cost — and with barely any impact on the environment, too.
The Inside’s CEO and co-founder Christiane Lemieux previously founded DwellStudio, then promptly became the Executive Creative Director of Wayfair when the latter acquired her brand. She’s written two books on interior design, and has two more coming out in 2019. This is a lady who knows a thing or two about beautiful furniture.
