If you follow us on Instagram, you might know that this September, we were proud to launchThe Residency — a space that features a collection of thoughtful brands that are alike in their mission to help you truly feel good, whether that be through wellness, personal care, beauty, or skincare products. And to celebrate the launch of The Residency, we kicked off a month-long event series that highlighted each of the beauty & wellness verticals featured within it.

The September Saturday series, which featured an event dedicated to all of the good vibes (crystal readings included), another to men’s wellness and grooming (including a workout with Cowboys Fit), and the next to beauty and skincare (with the Colleen Rothschild herself giving on-site skin consultations)– all culminated with hosting Create & Cultivate at our store on October 5.

Over 250 attendees came to hear from our speakers at Shelf Talk: a conversation around beauty & wellness with our co-hosts at Create & Cultivate. Keynote speaker and OG influencer, Lauryn Evarts Bosstick of The Skinny Confidential, of course, didn’t disappoint — she brought all the realness (and her infamous IG husband, Michael, too).

Cat Chen of Skylar Body, Jessica Assaf of Prima, and Nichole Powell of Kinfield– each female founders whose brands can be found in The Residency– shared their stories on how their incredible brands came to be (and shared some hilarious not-so-guilty pleasures, too).

And some of our favorite Dallas-based influencers, Ashley Robertson, Candace Hampton, Courtney Newell, and Joanna Czech spoke to a diverse set of beauty & wellness initiatives close to their hearts and how they share the messages behind them with the online communities they’ve built.

After the speaking sessions, the party got started — Prim and Proper brought out CBD drinks dubbed “Beauty & Brains” courtesy of Prima, and Skagen invited Mood by Moss into their pop-up for individual aura color readings (which were amazing). New-to-NG, The Tot had adorable mini and full-sized Levi’s jackets custom-embroidered, and there was on-site accessory monogramming from the daily edited (including the ever-so-necessary option to get a croissant icon stamped on your phone case). Before the party was over, guests hit up the Book a Birdie braid bar or the crystal reading station from The Refuge Dallas, and every guest walked away with a tote filled with all of the best desk essentials from Talking Out of Turn.

If you were able to make it — thanks so much for coming and for bringing your awesome energy (and colorful auras, too). And if you weren’t there — you can relive it with us in the video above or view our many upcoming events here.
